The UC Berkeley Steel Bridge team competes in the National Student Steel Bridge Competition sponsored by American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). We design, fabricate, and compete with a 20ft+ bridge. Steel Bridge is an inclusive and welcoming environment with a strong sense of community in and out of the Cal CEE community. We teach new members how to use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and SolidWorks as we design our bridge and train students how to use all machinery in the Davis welding shop to help fabricate the bridge and compete in our regional and national competitions.
